The 180 degree rule is key in all movies . It makes it clear to the viewer that there is a conversation happening. The rule is important because it shows the characters talking towards each other instead of looking like they are talking in the same direction.

Here you can see the three cameras on the same side, however, if there was a fourth camera on the other side of the 180 degree line it would show the characters talking the same way. This could confuse the viewer because it looks a bit strange as they are talking in the same direction.
When the 180 degree rule is followed it makes the whole clip come together, it gives the scene more realism as it feels you are actually in the room watching.
